I remember wctihang similar movies when the TV was a 13 BW from the mid 1900 s. I was a kid then, no taller than 4 feet, maybe 4 and a half. Less fortunate neighbours would gather at our window or doorway to watch TV together while we all sat in our rotan chair, or at the door step, lazing after dinner. The sun would set after we had dinner. But now, time seems to be different, the sun seem to set earlier, usually before I have dinner, sometimes even before I started to leave for home.Back then, life was different. Hand-me-downs was always welcomed with a smile and appreciated with all hearts. Toys were shared amongst friends. We would chill at local air terjun, fish using dough or dug-up cacing. When bored, we would climb a mountain (which was actually a hill, you know how things seemed bigger when we were little) and imagined what's beyond the horizon. Well in my case, the horizon was ALWAYS a hill, or a mountain, whether limestone or dense forest. I guess that's natural when you come from a kampong baru in Ipoh.Oh, and we would go to neighbours' houses to steal rambutans and sometimes climb not-too-tall coconut trees too! And not to mention trying to catch sparrows, owls, snakes and etc. outward signs of success hmmm this leads to deep thinking.Haha! Thanks for bringing back the memories, Martin.
